The Renesas Electronics USB 3.0 Driver is a driver for the USB 3 Renesas Electronics adapter which comes in many common Intel motherboards. The host controller has also been used by Lenova in their IdeaPad U300e and IdeaPad U300s.
Hi,
Thanks for your quick answer. The steps you mentioned I already tried.
1. I tried to update the Windows 8 driver using your described method. But Windows 10 then states the best driver is already installed.
2. If I uninstall the Windows 8 driver and restart my computer, Windows 10 installs the native Microsoft driver (Renesas USB 3.0 extensible host controller version 1.0) and everything is working fine, until I put my computer to sleep (S3 state). After waking up my computer, the usb 3 ports stop working. https://pixelgol6.netlify.app/download-torrent-movie-trade-of-innocents-2012-free.html. If I then look into device manager I see the exclamation mark like I mentioned before.
To my opinion the sleep issue is caused by the native Windows 10 driver, as the Windows 8 driver does not have this issue. But the Windows 8 driver gives a very low datatransfer, while the native Windows 10 driver works at full speed.
I searched the internet for another Windows 10 driver, but there are no other drivers. All I can find are recommendations to use the native Windows 10 driver.

See if the program is listed in the windows control panel>programs>uninstall a program section.
Uninstall it from there if it is.

Hi:
I don't know how to use that app.

OK, but this time, you got the device to show up rather than being labeled as an unknown device.
Uninstall the 2 Renesas USB 3 devices, check the unintall driver box, restart the PC, and see if Windows installs the drivers.
Unfortunately, I don't know why any of those Renesas/NEC drivers are not installing.
One of them should have worked.
Or you may want to try reinstalling W7 again and use the last Renesas driver I posted.

What if it is a hardware issue?
Maybe controller died?
Windows won't install the drivers after reboot.

It's possible, but I think it is a driver issue.
Reinstall W7, install the Intel chipset installation utility first and restart the PC and then try sp55102 again.

I'm taking the notebook to local pc technician in few hours, to see what can be done.
How could controller die?
I just used this notebook 5-6 times in 6 months.and everything worked normally until I format it and reinstall Win 7.
We will try Win 8 since it has I suppose it's own drivers for usb 3.0.

As I wrote yesterday, it is possible but I think it is a driver issue.

Did you reinstall W7 between yesterday and now and see if you could install the USB3 drivers again?
It will be interesting to see what the PC repair place finds.

OK,one of the transistors on the usb 3.0 card was damaged. So even we couldn't install sound card, when we ran drivers for sound card it displayed error message like sound card is not recognized by the software.
So he opened up the notebook and found that damaged transistor which he replaced. Now sound works OK,and even those usb 3.0 ports.

That's good news.
Glad you got it fixed, and I hope you didn't have to pay too much.
